Mary E. Homerding, 93, of Mason City and formerly of El Reno, OK, died Thursday June 8, 2023 at the IOOF Home in Mason City.
A graveside service will be held 1:30pm Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Grant Township Cemetery, rural Fertile.
Mary Elizabeth Ouverson was born in the family farm near Fertile on July 21, 1929 to Ouver and Emma (Prestholt) Ouverson.
She was united in marriage to Nicklos J. Homerding on October19, 1951 and together they would be blessed with three children, Kevin, Mark, and Sharon.
For the last six years Mary has lived at Kentucky Ridge Assisted Living in Mason City after relocating back to Iowa from Oklahoma.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Widmier, TX; daughter in law, Gail Homerding, OK; grandchildren, Rick Widnier, Jesse McQuinn, and Max Homerding; as well as extended family members.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Nick; parents; sons, Kevin Homerding and Mark Homerding; and a grandson, Dustin Homerding.
