IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa men’s basketball team ranked 24th nationally in attendance, averaging 12,371 fans at its 17 home contests in 2022-23.
It marks the 10th straight season, with fans, that Iowa has ranked in the top 30 in national attendance and the 35th time in the top 25. Overall, Iowa welcomed 210,305 total men’s basketball fans inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena last season.
The University of Iowa ranked among the national leaders in home attendance in four sports during the 2022-23 season. Iowa wrestling led the country in attendance at home events for the 16th straight year in 2022-23, averaging 14,858 fans per home dual. Women’s basketball ranked second nationally, averaging 11,143 fans. Hawkeye football ranked 19th in the country, averaging 69,250 fans, selling out all seven home contests.
