Edwin L. “Eddy” Scott, 64, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2023 at his home in Mason City.
October 2, 1958 – April 6, 2023
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery with Pastor Michael Daley of New Life Tabernacle Church officiating.
The son of John W. Scott, Sr. and Carla (Mammen) Scott, Eddy was born October 2, 1958 in Mason City, Iowa. He attended school in Mason City and graduated from Wilson School in Central Heights.
Eddy enjoyed fishing, listening to music, bowling, bus tours, group outings, and shopping. He attended the Special Olympics and even carried the torch for the Special Olympic Games in Ames. Eddy had a good heart and was always willing to help others.
Those left to cherish his life are his siblings, Judy Schade (Sachen), Mason City, John Scott, Jr. and his wife, Rita, Des Moines, Benny Scott and his wife, Tammy, Yuma, AZ, and Cathy Scott, Cedar Rapids; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousin and his many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and two cousins.
