Wanted Northern Iowa man nabbed after house raid

ARMSTRONG, IOWA – An Northern Iowa man was taken into custody as the result of a search warrant executed at a residence in Armstrong.

According to Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens, on March 13th at 6:41 AM, officials from the Emmet and Kossuth County Sheriff’s Offices executed a search warrant at 702 2nd Street in Armstrong.

During the course of the search warrant execution, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were discovered. Additionally, an occupant present at this location was found to be wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for a probation violation from Kossuth County.

As a result, 26-year-old Joshua Smith of Armstrong was placed under arrest and transported to the Emmet County Jail where he was booked for Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the Kossuth County warrant.
