Police remove illegal gun and drugs from streets of Cedar Falls after traffic stop; suspect faces felonies

CEDAR FALLS - An allegedly intoxicated Waterloo man toting an illegal gun and drugs is facing felonies after a recent traffic stop.

CEDAR FALLS – An allegedly intoxicated Waterloo man toting an illegal gun and drugs is facing felonies after a recent traffic stop.

On March 3, 2023, at 1:54 M, Cedar Falls police officers conducted a traffic stop at 1st Street and Division Street. As a result of this incident, a drug investigation was conducted. During the investigation, officers seized a handgun and a quantity of marijuana. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 18-year-old Nga Reh. He was charged with:

• Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Deliver, a Class D Felony
• Failure to Affix a Drug Stamp, a Class D Felony
• Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated 1st Offense, a Serious Misdemeanor
• Possession of a Dangerous Weapon while operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, a Serious Misdemeanor
