IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa announced that its men’s basketball home finale against Nebraska on Sunday has reached sellout status.
The contest will tipoff at 1 p.m. on Mediacom Court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The game will be televised nationally on Big Ten Network and broadcast on the Hawkeye Radio Network.
Iowa’s two seniors – Connor McCaffery and Filip Rebraca – will be recognized at center court prior to the game at approximately 12:45 p.m.
Iowa will be seeking revenge against the Huskers. Nebraska snapped a four-game losing streak to Iowa, drubbing the Hawks 66-50 back on December 30, 2022, in Lincoln. Iowa’s dismal 3-point shooting (7-28) seemed to be the difference in this game. Iowa also made only 5 free throws in the entire game.
Last time out, Iowa demolished Indiana, 90-68.
Iowa is now 19-11 on the season, and 11-8 in BIG 10 Conference play, tied with five other teams for second place. Purdue claimed the regular season title.
