GREENE COUNTY, IOWA - Two Iowans died after their Chevy rolled into a ditch, struck a tree, and ejected the occupants.

GREENE COUNTY, IOWA – Two Iowans died after their Chevy rolled into a ditch, struck a tree, and ejected the occupants.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place Saturday night, February 18, 2023. At 9:11 PM that evening, a 2006 Chevy Colorado was driving westbound on Highway 30 west of T avenue in Greene county. The vehicle left the roadway and entered the south ditch, struck a tree, and ejected the two people inside.

As a result of the accident, two people were killed: 32-year-old Ryan Michael Vaughn and 41-year-old Shiena Marie Hadley, both of Jefferson, Iowa. According to the Iowa State Patrol, neither wore a seat belt, and the driver of the Chevy could not be determined.

The crash remains under investigation.
