AMES – No. 19 Iowa State hits the road for the first of back-to-back road games, starting with Saturday’s contest at No. 12 Kansas State. Of Iowa State’s final five opponents in the regular season, ISU beat four of them in the first meeting.
In their last game, No. 19 Iowa State opened the game on a 10-0 run and never looked back, as the Cyclones beat No. 22 TCU 70-59 Wednesday night at Hilton Coliseum. Iowa State increased its lead to as much as 21 early in the second half and led for 39:35. Aljaž Kunc finished with a career-high 22 points, while Jaren Holmes joined him in double figures with 16 points. Kunc and Osun Osunniyi each had five rebounds, as Osunniyi went over 1,000 boards for his career.
Iowa State beat Kansas State back on January 24, 80-76, in a home game in Hilton Coliseum.
