FAYETTE COUNTY – Cops caught a Northern Iowa man with “numerous stolen items” after alleged vehicle burglaries.

On February 7, 2023, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of multiple that had been broken in to at an address in rural Sumner in Fayette County, Iowa. After an investigation, a search warrant was applied for and granted.  On February 9, 2023, at approximately 2:30 AM, a search warrant was executed on a suspect’s vehicle in Fayette, Iowa.  Police say numerous stolen items were found and seized during a search of the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, 33-year-old Justin Troy Steinbronn of Fayette was arrested and charged with second-degree t (a Class D Felony) and 10 counts of vehicle burglary (aggravated misdemeanors).

Steinbronn was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail where he is being held until initial appearance.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Fayette Police Department. This case remains under investigation and more charges are pending.
