Alan H. Curran, 78, of Charles City, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, at MercyOne Medical Center North Iowa.
Per Alan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family of Alan Curran.
Alan Harry Curran was born on November 19, 1944, in Waterloo, Iowa to parents John and Katherine (Bisgrove) Curran. Alan graduated from Mason City High School in 1963. He was united in marriage to Nancy McMurray Fingalsen and to this union the couple had three daughters: Tami, Toni, and Tara. The couple later divorced. Alan was united in marriage to Peggy Moore Uker in 1983, and gained three stepsons: Ryan, Roger, and Shawn.
Alan was employed at Lehigh Cement Company for over 30 years. He loved spending time at his cabin in Northern Minnesota, and spending time with his wife, Peggy until her passing.
Alan is survived by his three daughters, Tami (Jeff) Wirth, Toni (John) Olson, and Tara Guza; stepsons, Roger Uker and Shawn (Jackie) Uker; and eleven grandchildren; siblings, Sue (Dennis) Carnahan, Sharon (David) Osteen, Jay (Christine) Curran.
Alan was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; parents, John and Katherine Curran; and stepson, Ryan Uker.
