Garrett Andrew Staudt, 25, of Nora Springs, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at the MercyOne North Iowa Hospice in Mason City.
Garrett was born July 17, 1997, in Mason City. He spent most of his childhood in Osceola until moving to the area and graduating from Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock High School in 2016. He furthered his education at North Iowa Area Community College in the Diesel Technology
program. His love for trucks continued all the way until the day he passed. Rattling off all sorts of facts when he would see a truck he liked.
Garrett loved to spend time with his family and friends. He brightened up the room wherever he went. Garrett had never met a stranger and wanted everyone to be having a great time. He had made many friends that would turn into family. Some of his favorite things to do were
hunting with friends and family, watching cooking shows, playing video games on his PC, smoking cigars with friends and family, and travelling in the semi with his friend Christian.
Garrett is survived by his mother, Jolene Van Hauen; siblings Alyssa and Grant Staudt; maternal grandmother Eleanor (Gale) Nielsen; paternal grandmother Mary Susan Staudt. He is preceded in death by his father Scott Staudt; brother Drew Lensing; beloved dogs Zoe and Yoda; maternal grandfather Billie Van Hauen, Sr.; paternal grandfather Cletus Staudt.
A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hot Shots Billiards, 700 Riverside Dr, Charles City, IA. Garrett requested a party in honor of him, so there shall be a party.
