MAYNARD, IOWA - A Northern Iowa couple with meth living with an infant face a swath of charges after police raid the same address within 3 months.

MAYNARD, IOWA – A Northern Iowa couple with meth living with an infant face a swath of charges after police raid the same address within 3 months.

Police say that on December 30, 2022, at approximately 3:20 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 120 7th St. N in Maynard, Iowa. During a search of the residence, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were discovered. An investigation determined that an infant also lives at this address.

As a result of this investigation, arrested and charged were 20-year-old Karylann Renee Lewin of Maynard and 37-year-old Jaron Opria Evans of Mayanrd. Evans and Lewin were charged with first-offense possession of methamphetamine (a serious misdemeanor), child endangerment (an aggravated misdemeanor), and possession of drug paraphernalia (a simple misdemeanor).

Lewin and Evans were taken into custody, transported to Fayette County Jail, where they awaited initial appearance.
