IOWA CITY – No. 12/9 Iowa dropped Penn State, 108-67, inside the Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Saturday afternoon behinds its extremely potent offense.

All-American Caitlin Clark surpassed Lindsey Meder (1999-2002) and is now the second all-time leader in 3-pointers made at the University of Iowa (263).

Clark registered her 600th career assist, she is the 13th Big Ten women’s basketball player to do so. She is the first Hawkeye guard to accomplish that feat since Kathleen Doyle (2017-20). Doyle finished with 706 dimes.

Clark recorded her ninth game with +25 points, +5 rebounds, and +5 assists which is an NCAA best.

It was Clark’s 33rd career-double, the All-American finished the game with 27 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds.

Clark extended her streak of scoring in double figures an astounding 70 games, which is a NCAA Division I best.

Clark has netted a 3-point basket in 37 straight games. She has hit at least one 3-pointer in 78 career games.

Clark is the only player in the nation with more than 475 points, 130 rebounds, 120 assists, and 25 steals this season.

The Hawkeyes have won nine out of its last 10 games dating back to Dec. 4, 2022.

Iowa set a program record for most assists in a quarter with 13 in the first quarter.

Iowa fell short of its own record for most points scored in the first half. However, it did tie a season-high for most points in the first half. (57)

Clark finished the first half with 21 points, six assists and three boards. She was extremely efficient, going 7-11 from the floor and a perfect five-for-five from the charity stripe.

McKenna Warnock nearly had a double-double in the first half with nine rebounds and seven points.

She finished the game with 16 points and 10 rebounds recording her 13th career double-double.

Warnock now ranks 17th in Iowa history with 654 career boards.

Sydney Affolter netted a career-high 12 points.

Five Hawkeyes registered double digit points.

The Hawkeyes tied their record for points in a Big Ten match up with 108.

Iowa has scored 100 points or more in three games this season.

Iowa extended its win streak to seven against PSU dating back to 2018.

Iowa has welcomed more than 8,100 fans to CHA in nine straight contests.

It was Iowa’s 12th victory by 10 or more points this season.
