LAWRENCE, KS – Iowa State couldn’t prevent a late Kansas basket in the closing seconds, causing the Cyclones to lose 62-60 in this crucial Big 12 road contest.

#14 Iowa State and #2 Kansas entered the game undefeated in conference play.

Gabe Kalscheur led the Cyclones (13-3, 4-1) with 23 points, and his late 3-pointer tied the game with seconds remaining.

This game was typical Iowa State – Kansas affair, nip and tuck the whole way, with Kansas enjoying a lead, however, for the majority of the contest, however slim. The second half saw numerous lead changes.

NOTES

-Gabe Kalscheur eclipsed 250 career 3-pointers as well as his 500th career field goal against the Jayhawks.

-Caleb Grill snatched his 200th rebound at ISU against Kansas.

-Robert Jones played in his 50th game at Iowa State against KU.

-Jaren Holmes recorded his 200th point of this season.

-Osun Osunniyi tallied his 950th career rebound.
