AMES – No. 4 Iowa State (8-2, 2-0 Big 12) won eight matches in a 37-7 win over Wyoming (0-4, 0-4 Big 12) in Big 12 wrestling dual action Saturday afternoon in Hilton Coliseum.

The Cyclones registered bonus points in six of eight matches, including three pins and a technical fall. David Carr (165), Julien Broderson (174) and Ramazan Attasauov (133) all recorded falls for the Cyclones.

Carr was on top to begin the third period. He let Moody go and then immediately caught him in a cradle to secure the pin at the 5:15 mark.

Sam Schuyler returned from an injury to major decision Terren Swartz, 19-8, at 285 to up his season record to 8-1.

Another Cyclone quick pin occurred at 133 pounds, as Attasauov ended the match at 1:13 with a fall against Darrick Stacey. Attasauov got an early takedown and immediately put Stacey on his back where he worked for several seconds to record the fall.
