DES MOINES – Police in Iowa’s Capital city of Des Moines are investigating after two people were found dead.

Des Moines, Iowa

Police say two people were found dead in recent days and possibly the deaths are linked. On December 12, 50-year-old Natasha Lue Jean Williams, a mother of four, was found deceased in her home by officers who were requested to check the welfare of the occupants of the home. Police evidently began an investigation, and on December 16, a material witness warrant was obtained for 54-year-old Scott L. Lowery of Des Moines. Evidence in the investigation indicated that Lowery had critical information that would move the case forward.

However, on December 26, Lowery was found deceased in a garage in the 400 block of Fulton Drive. His death is being investigated as a suicide. Police say a handgun was recovered at the scene.

Detectives continue both death investigations.
