MASON CITY — A Northern Iowa man is awaiting sentencing after an auto crash that left travelers with injuries.
Tyler Litwiler, age 30, has entered a guilty plea to serious injury by vehicle and public intoxication in connection to an auto crash in which it was alleged that he was intoxicated. Records show the crash took place on January 3, 2022, north of Mason City on Highway 65 near 330th Street. Litwilier was driving on the wrong side of the road above the legal speed limit, authorities say, when he struck another vehicle head-on, sending himself and two others to the hospital with injuries.
Litwiler awaits sentencing on February 3, 2023.
