Carla Marie Bertelsen, 73, of Mason City, IA, passed away December 19, 2022, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.
Carla was born in Iowa on January 6th, 1949. She graduated high school and worked in several factories over the years. She had a love for reading and would stay up all night if it meant she could finish her newest book. Criminal mysteries were her favorite genre. She also enjoyed her time at the casino. Top Chef was one of her favorite shows. Once she found a show she enjoyed, she had to watch it in its entirety as soon as possible.
Carla is survived by her children, Brande (Tom) Mulder and Andrew Bertelsen; grandchildren, Jade and James Funk; precious dog, Oscar “Peanut”; and many beloved friends and extended family.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents.
