Tom Schwab, 75, of Nora Springs, Iowa died on December 17, 2022.
Per his wishes there will be no funeral service. His cremated remains will be scattered on his beloved farm at a later date by his family.
Tom was born to Andrew and Leona (Mandler) Schwab on April 10, 1947 in Osage, Iowa. He served in the Army as an MP in 1966. Tom was honorably discharged on Memorial Day in 1968.
On November 29, 1969, Tom married Marcia Bodensteiner. He sold insurance and real estate for 53 years.
Tom loved to read and hunt. He was very patriotic and always wore a flag pin. Tom was a huge supporter of the St. Jude’s Research Cancer Center, Shriners, University of Iowa Stead Family Hospital, and the Mayo Clinic. He seldom sat still but enjoyed playing games with his grandchildren and always had a project going.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Marcia; his sons, Jeff (Alina) Hanak and Chris (Kim) Schwab; his daughter, Andi (Lee) Roe; eight grandchildren; as well as other extended relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
