WATERLOO – A convicted felon was nabbed by cops after firing a gun at two people in Waterloo.
On November 25th, 2022 at 2334 hours officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of Fereday Court. It was discovered that Timothy Chisum brandished a handgun and threatened to shoot two individuals who were inside a vehicle. Chisum then shot once at the vehicle and fled the scene.
With the assistance of Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office, Bremer County Sheriff’s Office, Janesville Police Department, and Iowa State Patrol, Chisum was located on Highway 218 near Janesville, Iowa and was taken into custody. Officers recovered a 9mm handgun in Chisums possession. Timothy Chisum was charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon and possession of firearm by a felon. A few days later, Chisum was charged with violating his parole from prison, where he served time on a felony drug conviction.
Chisum was taken to the Black Hawk county jail and held on bond.
