CLIVE, IOWA - A white male suspect leapt over the counter in a suburban Iowa bank, forced employees to open safe, and fled into nearby woods with cash.

CLIVE, IOWA – A white male suspect leapt over the counter in a suburban Iowa bank, forced employees to open safe, and fled into nearby woods with cash.

On November 30, 2022, at approximately 10:18 AM, Clive Police responded to a robbery at 1st Interstate Bank, 13150 Hickman Rd. Employees reported that a male entered the bank, vaulted over the counter, and forced employees at gunpoint to open a safe. The male took an undetermined amount of cash. He fled on foot out of the front doors of the business. He ran south into a wooded area next to the Greenbelt Trail.

Arriving Clive officers were assisted by Urbandale, Waukee, and West Des Moines Police Officers and a West Des Moines K9 unit.

The suspect is described as a male white, a larger build, wearing a ski mask, goggles, and a Carhart-style jacket and pants.

Anyone who may have seen someone matching the description of this person, especially immediately before or after this robbery, should call police.
