FORT DODGE – An Eagle Grove man was arrested in Fort Dodge for sex abuse of a minor.
On August 15, 2022 a report was taken by the Fort Dodge Police Department in reference to a possible sexual abuse. Information provided at the time indicated that the victim was a child under the age of fourteen. Investigators with the Fort Dodge Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division began looking into the allegations.
As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday August 30, 18-year-old Eagle Grove resident Gerson Roberto Morales Marroquin was arrested on the following charges:
– Sex Abuse 2nd‐B Felony
– Sexual Exploitation of a Minor‐C Felony
– Indecent Contact with a Child‐Aggravated Misdemeanor
As with all cases, Marroquin is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
At this time investigators with the Fort Dodge Police Departments Criminal Investigations Division are continuing to follow up on this incident.
