Roy Keith Lunsford, 73, of Rudd, IA passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center.
Keith was born April 20, 1949, the son of Roy and Estelene (Stooksberry) Lunsford in Ottumwa, Iowa. On August 21, 1969, Keith was united in marriage to Donna King at the Christian Church, Milton, Iowa. To this union two sons were born.
Keith had a great passion for wrenching on things, he spent hours tinkering on lawn mowers until they ran, worked on cars and trucks, but his most joy was working on the big rigs. Keith turned wrenches for over 29 years for PTL Truck line. He enjoyed talking to the drivers and hearing their stories. Keith loved the outdoors, when he was able he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden. Over the years He and Donna traveled to nearly all 50 states. Keith loved his family time especially with his boys. As he became a grandpa, he looked forward to playing with and nurturing his grandkids. Keith was a lover of all animals especially his pet German Shorthairs and the numerous cats. Keith was always up for a good cup of coffee and conversation with friends.
Those thankful for having shared in Keith’s life include his wife of over 52 years, Donna; sons, Shannon (Tami) Lunsford, Dan (Kim) Lunsford; grandchildren, Kenzie, Nikki (Billy), Amber; great-grandchildren, Harper, Will; adopted granddaughter, Korie and her children, Maverick and Malachi. Donna’s best friend June Cleveland.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents.
