Lola Jean Fouts (Rowe), 69, of Charles City, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in her home.
A celebration of Lola’s life will be held at a later date.
Lola was born to Lowell and Jeanne (Pietan) Rowe on June 23, 1952 in New Hampton, Iowa. She graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1972.
Lola made a lot of friends working the 10 plus years at the Cedar Health Care Facility, formerly Salsbury Baptist Home. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye basketball fan and never missed getting home to watch a game. Lola loved spending time with family and always made sure to visit her mother almost daily.
Lola is survived by her mother, Jeanne of Charles City; son, Denny Fouts of Charles City; daughter, Tammy Ward of Des Moines; granddaughters, Tiffany Fouts of Marshalltown and Ciara Kabunga of Des Moines; great-granddaughter, Aubrie Amans of Marshalltown; five siblings: Sheila Connerley of Charles City, Mike Rowe of Charles City, TJ Rowe of Des Moines, Karen (Julio) Bibian of Des Moines, and Sherri (Ron) Matte of Charles City; along with many nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell.
