  1. Richard is absolutely correct. We have drug dealers behind our house in Mason SHITTY. All the bike riders with backpacks, riding without lights is the NUMBER ONE source in this town! They know they can not be stopped on their bikes.

    1. We’ve done plenty of stories about MC police chasing down perps on bikes. Happened recently in Charles City too.

  2. Mason city is full of drug dealers. The Mason city council won’t talk about it.The school board is to busy trying to change the name as hard drugs are being sold inside mason city highschool. Meth, ecstasy, heroine, and yes tons of pot. Most of the drugs are being brought in by thugs from Minneapolis and detroit and chicago. Mason city has alot of thugs who are living in apartment complexes with other people. It’s time for CHIEF BRINKLEY to be fired.

    1. Richard, you spout a lot of information, but I see no solid evidence to back it up. Put your name down, and I will look for you to stand up give some input at the next council meeting. If all you’re going to do is spout theory, better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than open it and remove all doubt.

      1. After reading your comments, and from what I have seen and heard, I think Richard is right, but you want to hear something else, so you just want Richard to defer to your fantasy.

  3. Meth kills. Prior to ’95 speed was an obscure counter culture drug existing at the fringes of society. Right around this time the ‘oxycontin’ nightmare began. Down and out junkies are now scattered throughout America. It probably causes the vast amount of homelessness that seems to be everywhere now. Destroyed lives never to return. Marginalized and tossed away. Most turn to crime to survive. Most don’t live beyond 50 years of age. It’s hard not to imagine these people were young children once about a time. Happy go lucky kids following the world before them before being cruelly led down a path that ends in a nightmare. Shame on Mason City.

    1. Hitler gave his troops methanphetamines and speed was popular in the 60s and 70s only then they called it diet pills.

      1. During the Vietnam War, the U.S. military plied its servicemen with speed, steroids, and painkillers to help them handle extended combat.
