Therese Marie Cohrs was born on September 17, 1955 in Estherville, Iowa to Albert “Gene” & Mary (Moran) Sweely. She passed away on January 8, 2022 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 66.
Therese graduated from Estherville High School in 1973. Throughout her life she was employed at Rosewood Manor and Good Samaritan in Estherville. She also worked doing home health care for the elderly.
She was creative and enjoyed ceramics, scrap booking, writing, and crafts. Therese like to go camping and shopping. She thoroughly loved all the lake life. Driving around with the top down in her convertible cars brought her happiness. Therese was especially fond of her her black cat Kohl and loved listening to Alabama, George Michael, Cher & David Bowie.
The most important thing to her was spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved & enjoyed her grandchildren.
Survived by her daughter Heather Cohrs of Denver, CO; son Marcus Cohrs of Estherville; sister Patricia (Harold) Stumpf of Jackson, MN; granddaughter Jayden Ferrell of Denver, CO; grandson Collin Cohrs of Estherville; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son Josh Cohrs, parents Albert “Gene” & Mary Sweely, and sister Kathy Sweely.
