Rev. Daird Wayne Korth, 67 of Clear Lake, died Sunday, December 12, 2021, at his home.
Daird’s family will hold a private graveside inurnment at Ventura Cemetery at a later date.
Daird, the son of Hilmer and Alice (Webb) Korth, was born on November 9, 1954, in Watertown, Wisconsin. He grew up on a farm near Watertown, graduating from Watertown High School. Daird went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Northwestern College in Watertown and a Master’s in Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN.
Daird was united in marriage to Carol Jean Schulz on July 16, 1977, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. The couple was blessed with two sons, Nicholas and Christopher.
Daird’s best days were those spent in pastoral ministry, a profession to which he devoted 42 years. Most recently he served as Pastor at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Elma, Iowa.
Daird is survived by his two sons, Nicholas (Jodi) and their two children of Mason City, and Christopher (Catherine) and their two children of Clear Lake.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; mother, Alice; and father, Hilmer.
