Iowa man whips out gun over laundry dispute, charged with assault

MANCHESTER, IOWA – An Iowa man whipped out a gun over a laundry dispute, and cops charged the angry dude with assault.

On December 9, 2021 the Manchester Police Department received a complaint of a male subject displaying a weapon at 1509 North Franklin in Manchester. When officers arrived on the scene they spoke with two victims. The victims state a male subject from a neighboring apartment was upset with them because they were doing laundry and it was taking too long. An officer spoke with the defendant whom admitted to displaying a handgun at the two victims.

Arrested was 67-year-old David Eli Ellickson of Manchester, Iowa, charged with two counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. He quickly bonded out of jail.
