Michael Ginder, age 65 of Algona, passed away Monday, November 15th at his home. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be 2:00 – 5:00 PM Saturday November 20th at the Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.
Michael Jerome Ginder, the son of Joseph and Marie (Newmen) Ginder, was born on September 30, 1956 in Osage, Iowa. He graduated from Ottumwa High School where he participated in Speech, Debate and Wrestled. After high school he attended UNI and participated in Debate. On May 18, 1986 Michael was united in marriage with Lannette Voshell in Las Vegas. Michael worked construction and retired from Stueve Construction in 2016. He enjoyed collecting guns and coins.
Left to cherish Michael’s memory is his wife of 35 years, Lannette; brothers, John (Mary) Ginder of Mason City and Phillip Ginder of Tulsa, OK; foster siblings, Linda Vass, Karen Reece and Larry McPherson; sister-in-laws, Lori (Don) Traeger of Cresco and Linda Voshell of Oelwein; brother-in-laws, Lowell Voshell of Fayette, Lonnie (Darcy) Voshell of West Union and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Benjamin Ginder; a sister, Rose Ginder; father and mother- in- law, LeRoy and Marjorie Voshell and brother-in-laws, Larry Voshell, Lloyd Voshell and Ron Shuck.
