POLK COUNTY – An Iowa man is dead after losing control and crashing his vehicle in Polk county.
At approximately 10:27 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office were called to the area of Hubbell Road and Prairie Drive NW, just south of Bondurant, for a single vehicle accident.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle was traveling northbound on Hubbell and began to leave the roadway towards the median. The Driver overcorrected, lost control, entered the east ditch, and rolled several times.
The vehicle was occupied by an adult male (driver) and an adult female (passenger). The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the accident and died on scene. The female was transported to a local hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.
The male that died on scene has been identified as 33 year old Joel Alvarez of Marshalltown.
