Mary Kohlhaas, age 67 of West Bend, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at her home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in St. Joe. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.
Mary Ann Kohlhaas, the daughter of Ernest and Patricia (Ditch) Marti, was born on April 29, 1954 in West Bend, Iowa. She graduated from West Bend High School in 1972. On April 6, 2002, Mary was united in marriage with Michael Kohlhaas in West Bend. Mary enjoyed quilting and being outdoors at the farm.
Left to cherish Mary’s memory is her husband, Michael; children; Easton (Kathy) Wilkin of Eureka, CA and Lily Joe’ll Leyva of Algona; 5 step children; 3 grandchildren; several step grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Marti (Nick) of Belleview, Florida and Carol Hood of Chickamaunga, Georgia; brothers, Gerald (Darlene) Marti of Bethesda, Maryland, Robert (Lynn) Marti of Cedar Rapids and Michael (Sharon) Marti of Doreno, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Steve Marti.
