Sherry Katie Kooker, daughter of Edward and Mary (Lomax) Keller, was born on October 1, 1950, in Marceline, Missouri. She passed away on October 14, 2021, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 71.
Sherry married Thomas Kooker on December 18, 1981 and to this union, two children were born, Amber and Justin. She worked at the bank for a few years before managing a Subway in Kansas City. Most recently she worked for a collections agency.
In her free time, Sherry enjoyed baking, especially Christmas cookies, fishing with her grandchildren and traveling. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren who she loved dearly. Sherry was a member of Crosswinds Community Church in Spirit Lake.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Thomas Kooker of Superior, Iowa; her children, Amber (Kevin) Marvin and Justin (Kimberly) Kooker; grandchildren, Mercedes, Jaxon, Triniti, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel; and her “adopted” son, Steve (Alice) Huffman and his daughter Jamie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Keller, her brother, Edward Keller and her son-in-law, Shane Sellers.
