Sandy was born July 20, 1964, to Melvin & Sharon (Kollmann) Allison of Ionia, IA. Sandy was one of five children to be blessed to this union. She and her twin sister Cyndy were the oldest and shared an incredible bond that even death couldn’t break. Sandy loved growing up on the farm and helping take care of all the animals. Her favorite time was holidays when the whole family could be together, especially Christmas. Sandy attended Nashua High School and upon graduation in 1983, went to NIACC to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse. Sandy loved being able to help others and used her training to help out at her church, Trinity Lutheran Church of Mason City when her health allowed. In 1990, Sandy was joined in marriage to Alan Haubrich. To this union a son, Justin was born. Justin was his mother’s pride and joy, and nothing made her happier than to be a mother. Sandy was an amazing woman who gave everything she had to her family and friends. Her smile and laughter were contagious, and she never let her illness get her down.

Sandy is survived by her husband Alan Haubrich and son Justin Haubrich of Mason City, IA, stepson Jeremy (Brenda) Haubrich of Thornton, IA and grandsons Gabe and Wyatt Haubrich, stepson Anthony (Nikki) Haubrich of Waterloo, IA and granddaughter Mia and grandson Brantley.
