WAVERLY, IOWA – A young Northern Iowa girl was struck by a car and hospitalized.
The accident took place on June 25, 2021 at about 6:51 PM. At that time, emergency responders were called to 7th Avenue SW and 4th Street SW in Waverly for a child that had been struck by a car. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a southbound on 4th Street SW 2018 Honda CRV driven by 57-year-old Eric Pruhs of Waverly struck 12-year-old pedestrian Izzy Luck as she crossed 4th Street SW. Izzy was injured and taken to Allen Hospital in Waterloo.
The accident remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were Bremer County Sheriff’s Dept., Waverly EMS, Waverly police, Dale’s Towing, and Posts 9 & 10 State Patrol.
