TRAER, IOWA – An Iowa man has been found shot to death.
On June 18th, at approximately 4:35 AM, the Tama County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from an occupant of the Ryan Cooper residence located at 1846 K Avenue Traer, Iowa. Upon arrival, law enforcement found Ryan Cooper deceased. The facts and circumstances indicate Cooper’s death appears to be a violent death. The investigation is being conducted by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Tama County Attorney’s Office.
The Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting the autopsy.
The next day, the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner performed an autopsy on Ryan Cooper. The pathologist has ruled Cooper’s cause of death as a homicide; and manner of death as a gunshot wound.
