MASON CITY – Commencement exercises for the Mason City High School graduating class of 2021will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., at the Mason City Multipurpose Arena. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. Event will be livestreamed:

Ten members of the Mason City High School class of 2021 will be inducted into the school’s Academic Hall of Fame. They have earned a cumulative 4.0 grade point average over their four years at Mason City High School. A special ceremony will be held in the FEMA Room at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4. Family members, relatives, and guests are invited to attend. Daniel Long, Principal, will recognize the students and their accomplishments individually and induct each student with a brass plaque displaying each senior’s name and year of graduation.

The names of students who have earned this distinction and their parents are as follows:

Ashton Camper daughter of Scott and Kristine Camper

Nguyen Cao, daughter of Tuan Cao and Ai Pham

Caleb Currier, son of Tom Currier and Trisha Wilke

Connor Dalen, son of Carlyle and Leslie Dalen

Britta Elsbernd, daughter of Randy and Becky Elsbernd

Kylie Hansen, daughter of Matt and Angie Hansen

Gabrielle Johnson, daughter of Kristi Johnson

Christian Rodriguez, son of Alejandro Rodriguez and Heidi Schriever

Aden Stroup, son of Brian and Chereen Stroup

Emma Yarahmadi, daughter of Alireza and Victoria Yarahmadi

    Congratulations to the true Hall of Famers. Too bad the wall has been diluted over years by helicopter parents acting like spoiled children to get their child on the wall.
