Letha Anne “Nana” Ciska, 79, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021, in her Mason City, IA, home.

Family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date.

Anne was born on September 18, 1941, the daughter of Gerald “Babe” and Delphine (Shovein) Suter of Mason City, IA. In Anne’s younger years she was an X-ray technician, later on she worked at the Hallmark until her retirement. On May 26, 1962, Anne married the love of her life, Steve Ciska, from this union three children were born.

Those who were lucky enough to grace Anne’s presence will remember her as a generous, loving soul. When Anne had free time she enjoyed cooking, gardening and knitting for hours on end. She cherished each day she was able to be with her family and loved spending time with her two granddaughters.

Those who are left to cherish memories of Anne are her daughters; Liz and Allyson Ciska; granddaughters, Lily Ciska and Ivy Ciska; siblings, Jim (Janet) Suter, Mary (John) Oertel, and Kevin (Cindy) Bennet; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

Anne is preceded in death by her husband, Steven; son, Marc Ciska; her parents; as well as her sister, Cathy Alcorn.
