OBIT: Everett L. Walk

Everett L. Walk, 92, of Mason City, joined his beloved wife, Beverly in Heaven on March 30, 2021 after passing away at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held 2:30pm Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City with Mike Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Everett’s family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Should friends desire, memorials may be left in Everett’s honor in care of his family.

The son of Edwin and Jennie (Rodemaker) Walk, Everett was born on August 7, 1928 in Grafton. He attended country school through the eighth grade.

Everett was united in marriage to Teresa Crapser January 19, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City and quickly the young family grew to include children, Teri, Tom, and Jeff. Teresa would precede Everett in death in October of 1962.

On May 31, 1968 Everett married Beverly (Campbell) Lunning after meeting one another at the Clearview Roller Rink in Clear Lake. The two families grew to one as Everett welcomed Beverly and her children, Marsha, Brad, and Scott, into the family home. Together the couple would be blessed with 53 years of marriage.

Throughout the years Beverly and Everett loved spending time with children and grandchildren at their cabin on Madison Lake, Minnesota. Many fun times and memories were made with all, fishing, visiting with friends, and enjoying the outdoors. Everett’s passion in life was fishing and countless hours were spent alongside Beverly and a fishing pole.

For many years Everett worked at Borden’s and State Brand Creamery before accepting a position at AMPI. He was a member of the Teamsters Union until his retirement in 1993.

Those grateful in sharing in his life are his children, Marsha Heston, Teri (Ron) Gustin, Brad (Dawn) Lunning, and Scott (Linda) Lunning; grandchildren, Jay (Becca), Josh (Nancy), Shayne (Kristy), Tiffany (Jesse), Heidi (Mike), Ronnie, Eric (Kerri), Chad, Matt, Brad, Jr. (Dana), Jamie (Kara), Debbie, and Diane (Chris); great grandchildren, Nyah, Wyatt, Leah, Samantha, Kiarra, Danika, Kaylee, Ayla, Sadie, Luke, Jakob, Adam, Tanis, Kiara, Aiden, Ethan, Connor, Michael, Jonathan, Thomas; sister in law, Pat Campbell; as well as many extended relatives and friends.

Everett is preceded in death by his wives, Teresa and Beverly; parents, Edwin and Jennie Walk; father and mother in law, Melvin and Alma Campbell; sons, Jeff and Tom Walk; brothers, Earl, Dellis, Eugene (Judy), and Cecil Walk; sister, Lucille (Ray) Miller; sister in law, Ardith (Don) Wood; and brother in law, Gary Campbell.
