College Basketball: UNI defeated by Loyola, 88-46

CHICAGO, Illinois – The UNI Men’s basketball team fell to the Ramblers of Loyola 88-46 on Sunday night. The Panthers now move to 3-10 overall and 2-6 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

The Panthers trailed the Ramblers early in the first half and were unable to dig out of the hole, trailing the Ramblers 39-24 at halftime. The Panthers went 9-25 (36%) from the field while the Ramblers went 16-26 (61.5%). The Panthers made just 1 three pointer in the first 20 minutes while the Ramblers made 5 from beyond the arc.

UNI was unable to cut into the Rambler lead in the second half, getting outscored 32-14 in the first 10 minutes of the half. The Panthers finished the game going 17-53 (32.1%) from the field and 3-14 (21.4%) from beyond the arc. The Ramblers went 33-53 (62.3%) from the field with 11 made free throws.
