GILBERT, IOWA – For the first time since 2002, Mason City High has won a playoff football game, beating Gilbert 16-14 Friday night in a road contest.
Mason City trailed 14-0 at the half and the game seemed out of reach. However, the Mohawks showed no quit and came back to twin the game.
“What a great effort,” head coach Joh Lee said after the game. “Down 14 at half to battle back and win it 16-14. Proud of these Mohawks.”

going to hang this banner right next to the last playoff banner, that year they were 2-8
It’s sad but the fastest growing sport is e sport. Do not know why they call it a sport because it is playing video games. Going to be harder and harder to field football teams.
Big deal who and where is Gilbert. Not impressed.
