Todd Blodgett opinion: BIDEN: the Disney-Inspired, ‘OZ’ Candidate?

Todd Blodgett of Clear Lake Iowa is an accomplished writer and political strategist. He has been the most-popular writer in the history of the Globe Gazette, been published in numerous news publications, and has written a book, “Republican Crackhead.”

California’s Disneyland and Florida’s Walt Disney World feature robots of all US Presidents, which look, move, and sound exactly like their human counterparts.  This fall, the Democrats have somewhat replicated this technology – called audio-animatronics – with Disneyesque simulation, in promoting their mirage-like presidential nominee.  Joe Biden also resembles ‘The Wizard of OZ’ – the well-dressed, befuddled old man, who hid behind some drapes while projecting a powerful image.  Aided by conniving minions, the codger, despite his obvious limitations, convincingly substituted image for reality – for awhile, anyway.  But the senior citizen playing Wizard was exposed when a dog pulled away the curtain.  Election 2020’s curtain comes down on November 3, but Mr. Biden’s embarrassing memory lapses – including when, during his first debate, he couldn’t recall even ONE pro-Biden law enforcement organization, when asked by President Trump – could continue to reveal him as a propped-up, Disney-like apparition.  Covid-19 has obscured widespread exposure of what many claim is Biden’s fundamental cognitive impairment.  The elitist, pro-Biden, pro-Deep State members of the Presidential Debates Commission, in changing the rules in mid-game – by decreeing that the second Trump-Biden debate be online, instead of in person – are deliberately trying to help Biden, by minimizing his exposure to live audiences.  By allowing Biden to respond to questions online, the audience won’t see the teleprompters, which will provide Biden with instantaneous, scripted responses.  US Senator Cory Booker warned that many Democrats are “concerned about Joe Biden’s ability to carry the ball all the way … without fumbling.”  While this may be Biden’s undoing, it explains why Democrats are doing everything possible to run out the clock, before Sleepy, creepy Joe is fully exposed.

On inauguration day, Biden will be 78; that’s older than Ronald Reagan – America’s oldest-ever chief executive – was, when he LEFT office.  Hence, legitimate concerns abound regarding his mental acuity.  Earlier this year, he said he’s running for the US Senate, adding, “I’ve gotta lotta – I got hairy legs, that turn, uh, blond, in the sun … so, I learned about roaches…” Biden told blacks, “if you have a problem figurin’ out whether you’re for me, or Trump, then you ain’t black.”  Vowing to ban AR-15s, he called the semi-auto gun an “AR-14” and referenced Super Tuesday as “Super Thursday”.  He said, “I think we can win back the House” [of Representatives] – which his party already controls.  Biden said he was arrested in South Africa while trying to visit Nelson Mandela – but he wasn’t.   When Biden was last on a general election ballot (2012) he told blacks that Republicans will “put y’all back in chains.”  Before that, he said he didn’t want kids being required to attend integrated public schools he described as “a racial jungle.”

Seeing Biden trying to connect with black voters is like watching the old movie, ‘White Boys Can’t Jump’.

In February of 2020, Biden claimed that “150 million people have been killed [by guns] since 2007.” However, the number of US gun fatalities, from 1968 to 2020, is under two million.  Biden said that as VP, he met with victims of the Parkland school shooting – but that tragedy occurred AFTER he left office.  He also falsely claimed that his late son, Beau, “was the Attorney General of the United States.”  Despite winning seven terms in the United States Senate and holding a law degree, the bewildered ex-VP even forgot the best-known line of the Declaration of Independence.  Exasperated, he finally said, “you know, the thing.”  In pitching a proposal to help women, he said, “it would put 720 million women back in the workforce.”  However, the entire US population is only 332 million.  Only Ronald Reagan ever won the White House on his third try, as Biden is attempting.  But now, it’s doubtful that Disney’s engineers will ever produce a robotic President Biden.  As the Democrats debated before Iowa’s presidential Caucuses, contender Julian Castro asked Biden, “are you forgetting, already, what you just said, two minutes ago?”

Based on Biden’s statements at that debate, Congressman Castro was correct: Biden had, indeed, totally forgotten what he had just stated, in front of a live audience.  Yet, he presently leads in most polls.

What’s up with THAT?

While all candidates make mistakes, Biden’s frequent slip-ups indicate a drastic, cerebral decline that’s unprecedented among presidential nominees.  The sincere concerns raised by Congressman Castro, Senator Booker and MSNBC’s correspondent Andrea Mitchell, and many others, regarding Mr. Biden’s obvious mental decline, have proven to be prescient.  However, the presidential campaign trail is no place for retakes, or a chimerical nominee.  But most Democrats apparently don’t realize that letting their geriatric, frequently flummoxed nominee venture out and about is flirting with disaster.  After all, what the late, world heavyweight boxing champ, Joe Louis, said, particularly applies to inept American  presidential nominees: “He can run, but he can’t hide.”

Todd, finally decided to read your opinion piece and it read about like I expected it would. Demonize the left, belittle their candidate and issues, and bring elites and Ronald Reagan into the writing, and advance some of the Trump talking points while avoiding any reference to Trump’s shortcomings and his criminality. You always refer to Democrats as the elites which is laughable because of all the money and elitism that surrounds Trump and his friends. It isn’t the Democrats who can afford the Trump Hotels $200+ a night rooms. You mention Biden’s age, but don’t state that Trump is 74. You point out Biden’s gaffes, but wave away Trump’s with all politicians make mistakes. You point out, correctly I might add, that some Democrats are concerned with Biden’s age and mental acuity, but ignore the fact that many Republicans have publicly denounced Trump and are supporting Biden. I am still not sure who will win this election, but I sincerely hope that real Americans will take back this country and send the Trump family packing. And then to jail.Have a good night.

Nice to hear from you, ‘Bo’ – it always is! It’s not wrong, in my view, to describe many, if not most, Democrats as “elitists”, because many are:

1. Against some guns, and in favor of gun control, if not outright confiscation – a la Beto O’Rourke.

2. In favor of open borders, and defunding the Police.

3. In favor of forcing taxpayers to provide health care to illegal aliens … even Biden-Harris are on record as being for this ludicrous proposal.

4. Opposed to an assertive, America First foreign policy, and – all too often – worried about what other nations think of us, when the better way to go is to have other nations worried about what WE think of THEM.

5. Pro-perp, and anti-legally armed US citizen.

6. Against capital punishment, and in favor of affirmative action, and racist quotas.

7. Opposed to English being America’s official language.

Many Leftists also look down on regular Americans like me, who often eat at Hardees, and Burger King, and carry guns, hunt, and use tobacco. We enjoy life’s simple pleasures, which includes watching reruns of GUNSMOKE, Green Acres, Bonanza, and The Beverly Hillbillies, and listening to Dean Martin – which many Democrats eschew.

Sad to say, ‘Bo’, but the label of elitist DOES fit many 2020 Democrats. Today’s Democrats aren’t the party of Harry S Truman, or even of JFK.

I was going to ask you in the previous post but forget to do so, You included every Todd Blodgett expected comment or topic except for your reference to Green Acres. You seldom disappoint. I could dispute each of your numbered points, but I have things to do.

In case you are looking for something to do, here is a pretty good compilation of Trump’s (and the Republicans) lies in one of his campaign speeches earlier in the year.

TRUMP 2020

CHOICE IS SIMPLE
AMERICA OR MARXISM
TRUMP OR SOCIALISM
PROSPERITY OR DESPAIR

u forgot fascism (trump), or common sense (biden)!

turn your head around

get yours out of your ass

We know that the liberals hate this country, so, take the nationalism out of fascism and you have the current Democratic party.

Fascism is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.

The liberals want to have the government own and run everything, rather authoritarian isn’t it? They want to move us to a socialistic system, and have the government “dictate” our lives. They suppress what you see and hear, so anything they don’t like is not reported, unless it is on a conservative outlet. Last ,nut not least, they want to ruin our economy by driving businesses out, and trying to “redistribute” the wealth of the “rich”.

You are lying again.

I can’t believe it – Todd actually supporting JOEY BANANNA ?

Anyone who believes the polls is a idiot!

Actually anyone that believes Todd Blodgett is an idiot.

Ya think? Well, two Presidents liked him enough to hire him, FBI hires him, and Chuck Grassley. Pretty good credencials I will say.

I know Todd, for years. Hes very up front and honest.

So You dont agree with him we know ok but, that don’t mean your right.

Trump 2020.

Keith Dumbass 2020

and a winner

Bottom line. If Biden is elected the dem party will implode as it begins a war between moderate dems and AOC’s backers. America will fall in atop of the monstrosity. We have no choice to vote Trump whether you like him or not. God save America, vote Trump.

Todd I didn’t know you were in the Reagan admin that is so cool!

Thx, Tammy. I wasn’t ever an important appointee of Reagan’s, but it was a real thrill to serve on his White House staff.

I worked there from early 1985 until the fall of 1987, chiefly in the WH Press Office.

Todd – the socialist party has become a party of magicians whose future illusion is to change American into a 1 party (socialist) nation such as China. joey bananna is just their bama puppet hiding their forthcoming sinister plan for the people they have brainwashed thru the fake propaganda news channels which they own/control. They will prey on your soul with riches and glad tidings until they get the power – then as you will see your freedom and way of life be shattered and any response will be like the once free people of Hong Kong who have now been placed in their government internment camps aka slave labor -Be very CAREFULL what you wish -your vote may be your demise!

As some one said: You can vote your rights/freedom away, but will have to fight to get them back.

So what Disney character would Mr. Trump be? Pinocchio? Goofy? Launchpad McQuack? You pick!

Todd, I enjoy your posts, and look forward to the next one. delilahdriver

Biden is leading in all the polls among the sample of Biden supporters. The media wouldn’t dare report something positive of our current president, or a truthful reflection of what Americans think

Say what you want about Blodgett. At least he signs his name to what he posts. Like him or hate him, he has integrity. And any man who says he doesn’t is a liar.

A liar like you knows all about liars!

All I said is that he is man enough to sign his name to his posts. Seems that you’re not.

Says “ANONYMOUS”

Good Op ed Mr Blodgett, agree 100%, Trump will beat creepie Joe.

trump would make a great Mickey Mouse. all he tells anyone is fiction.

“Yet, he presently leads in most polls.
What’s up with THAT?”

Blodgett, you truly are one pathetic Lee Atwater wannabe.
Meanwhile you support the lying, cowardly, idiotic buffoon known as Donald J Trump.
Ronnie is rolling over in his grave at your supporting Trump…or perhaps not as more than likely he would say “Who the hell is Todd Blodgett?”
Then Reagan would be informed that you were just a low level minion and lackey in his administration only there because of connections… a nobody.
He would then go back to resting in peace.

‘Anonymous’ – I’ve never claimed to have been an important staff member in RR’s White House, and I wasn’t. After all, ‘Anonymous’, I was barely 24 years old when I started there, and went over to the Bush campaign (to work for Lee Atwater) from there, when I was barely 27. How many people in their mid twenties ARE important?

If RR were alive, I suspect he’d support President Trump over Biden, and he’d certainly have NOT been for Hillary. I’m confident in saying this, because I knew the man, quite well, for nearly five years before he became President, and then saw him on a fairly regular basis, in person, while working in the White House.

As to the rest of your tirade, I’ve never denied that I was “only there because of connections” – as you pointed out. But, so WHAT?

Was I supposed to have rejected Reagan’s offer to serve on his White House staff, in the west wing? Who turns down a job offer from the President of the United States?

As to you ludicrous claim that I’m some sort of “Lee Atwater wannabe” (your words), I also knew Lee very well, and worked for him, too. I have no desire to emulate Lee, or his work. I’m happy with my life, thank you, and I’d like to think that Lee, and RR, would be pleased with my work.

What makes you so negative?

Mr. B some people are just jealous. Your smart, a real up front man tells it like you see it.

Your not always right no, but least you put your name on it, that is good. Goes a long ways with alot of us.

If I was you why I will ignore them makes fun of your family connections, money ect bet if they have some they would of used them, hell yes.

Thank you, Frank.

First you need to ask the wizard for a brain (not like the one the Frankenstein monster got) then a OPEN mind which you lack.

You are so cute, stupid, but cute!

and you are still a huck fead
