CHARLES CITY – A Colorado man was arrested this weekend in Charles City after cops investigated an incident at a convenience store.

On Saturday, September 5 after 2 AM, Charles City police were summoned to Kwik Star convenience store on Gilbert Street for a possible drunk driver there.  A suspect vehicle was soon located in the 300 block of North Jackson Street, where police encountered what appeared to be a possible fight in progress.  Police separated the participants.  As a result of the incident and investigation, police arrested 37-year-old Salvador Reyes of Grand Junction, Colorado on a charge of first-offense public intoxication.  Police say more charges are pending.

Reyes was jailed and soon released on a promise to appear.
