CLARKSVILLE, IOWA – Cops in Clarksville seeking a wanted man ended up with four people in cuffs after drugs were discovered at a rural campsite.
On August 29 2020, the Clarksville Police Department investigated allegations of a wanted male being harbored at Heery Woods Park. During this investigation, an interview was conducted and evidence of controlled substances were discovered inside a camper owned by Brittany Kreisel. A search warrant was then applied for and granted. During the execution of the warrant, methamphetamine, marijuana, syringes (used and loaded), and multiple items of paraphernalia were discovered in the camper, surrounding vehicles, and on the individuals.
Tammy Kreisel, age 55 of Aplington, was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance 2nd offense (methamphetamine)- Aggravated Misdemeanor, possession of controlled substance 2nd offense (marijuana) – Serious Misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor.
Todd Walbaum, age 57 of Parkersburg, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance 3rd offense (methamphetamine) – Class D Felony and possession of drug paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor.
Dana Peralta, age 36 of Waverly, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor.
Brittany Kreisel, age 31 of Aplington, is being charged with Possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent (methamphetamine) – Class D Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd or subsequent (marijuana) – Class D Felony, and Possession of drug paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor.
All charges were enhanced with possession on or near certain real property (State Park). The investigation is ongoing and more charges are anticipated.
