PALO ALTO COUNTY – A Mississippi man has been charged with sex crimes in North Iowa.
On July 11, 2020 at 10:22 PM, yhe Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office served two valid arrest warrants on 27-year-old Earnest Charles Jones, Jr. of Magnolia, Mississippi on the charges of two counts of sexual abuse 3rd degree, a class c felony. The charges stem from an investigation that was launched by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office in January of 2020. The alleged crimes took place in September of 2019. Jones Jr. was arrested in the 3600 block of 350th Avenue and transported to the Palo Alto County Jail and held on $25,000 cash only bond per warrant while he awaits his initial appearance before a magistrate judge.
During the arrest, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Emmetsburg Police Department.
