Mason City board of education to consider personnel changes at tonight’s meeting

MASON CITY – The Mason City board of education will consider personnel changes at tonight’s meeting.

The panel will meet in the Board Room of the Administrative Center, 1515 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City, Iowa 50401, at 5:30 p.m., on Monday, May 18, 2020. The Board determined that it is impossible and impractical for all members to be physically present at this meeting due to COVID-19 health concerns, and that it is necessary to conduct the meeting by electronic means. The public is discouraged from attending the meeting in person. The Board has provided public access to the electronic conversation. The meeting will be streamed live. Tom Drzycimski, HR Director of the Mason City school district, has recommended the following personnel changes for the school board to consider at tonight’s meeting:

Gutierrez, Shauna – English Language Learners – Roosevelt Elementary and Jefferson Elementary – effective upon completion of 2019-20 contract – 2 years of service

GRAVEN, AMY
Assignment: Registration HelpDesk
Salary: $18.65 / hour
School year: 7/20/20 – 8/5/20 (timeframe subject to change depending on district needs)

Rationale: Temporary position (hours worked will not count towards her 1,672 hours for the 2020-20 school year)
