Iowa farmer airlifted to hospital after tractor rolls onto him

RURAL FAYETTE COUNTY – An Iowa farmer has been airlifted to a hospital after his tractor rolled onto him.

On May 6, 2020 at 11:33 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting that a male subject had been run over by a tractor in the 27000 block of Muskrat Road. An investigation determined that Terry Alan Lauer age 60 from West Union was operating a 6270 Massey Ferguson tractor when he had stopped the tractor and got out and the tractor rolled backwards running Lauer over. Lauer was transported by Tri State Ambulance to Palmer Hospital in West Union and then Air lifted by Gunderson Air to Gunderson Hospital in Lacrosse for injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the West Union Police Dept, Iowa DNR and Tri State Ambulance.
