MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Vikings selected Iowa quarterback Nate Stanley in the 7th round 7 of the 2020 NFL Draft, the team announced.

Stanley is 6-3, 243 lbs big-armed quarterback out of Menomonie, Wisconsin. He led Iowa to a 3-0 record in bowl games and finished second all-time on Iowa’s passing chart. Scouts say his accuracy may be his only weakness, at times.

Minnesota is led by quarterback Kirk Cousins, who is 31-year-old and played at Michigan State. He is entering his 10th year in the league. This past season, he threw for 3603 yards with 26 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions in compiling a stellar 107.4 rating.
