Fugitive arrested in Hancock county convenience store

GARNER – A wanted fugitive from the law was apprehended in a Hancock county convenience store early Sunday morning.

On February 16, 2020 at approximately 2:51 AM, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Todd Levern Hambly from Goodell, IA. Hambly had outstanding arrest warrants in Polk County for Theft and Burglary. The arrest took place inside the Klemme Townmart located at  200 E. Main Street, Klemme, IA.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Britt Police Department, Garner Police Department, Emmet County Sheriff’s Office, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Story County Sheriff’s Office, Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force Special Operations Group, and Garner Ambulance Service.  Charges are pending in Hancock County.
