PEORIA, Ill. – UNI women’s basketball struggled to find an offensive rhythm and fell to league-leading Bradley 61-47 on the road Friday night.
The Panthers shot 17-55 (30.9%) from the field and 6-32 (18.8%) from the three-point line. Bre Gunnels led UNI with 10 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
The Panthers led 10-9 after the first quarter, but Bradley outscored UNI 38-16 in the second and third quarters. UNI outscored Bradley 21-14 in the fourth quarter, including a 9-0 run, but it wouldn’t be enough to climb out of the hole.
The loss drops UNI to 11-6 on the season and 3-3 in Missouri Valley Conference play. Bradley is 15-2 on the year and 6-0 in MVC play.
