St. Ansgar man pleads guilty to lascivious acts with a child, sent to prison

OSAGE – A man who lived in St. Ansgar man has entered guilty pleas to charges of lascivious acts with a child and received 15 years in prison.

Records show 60-year-old Douglas David Young was charged with third-degree sexual abuse and two counts of lascivious acts with a child – fondle or touch for crimes he allegedly committed in May of 2019. A judge in Mitchell county filed for an arrest warrant on July 25, 2019 and Young was in custody that day, held on $10,000 bond. By the next day, Young used U.S. Specialty Insurance Company to post the bond and was released from the Mitchell county jail.

Young entered guilty pleas to two charges of lascivious acts with a child and received consecutive 5 and 10-year prison sentences, records show.  He was ordered to pay $7,405.00 in court costs.

All I can say is he is really fortunate that it wasn’t my child.
